Welcome to St Paul’s Primary School, a Catholic Primary School located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia in the growing town of Karratha.
Our School motto ‘Guard The Truth’ reflects the strong belief we have that we, as children of God, need to reflect God’s love to our world through our attitudes, words and actions.
At St Paul’s Primary School our first focus is the children. We aim to live our vision, by creating an environment in which there is excellence in teaching and learning so that all children who leave our school gain:
• A positive sense of community.
• An appreciation of, and respect for, themselves as valuable people.
• Respect for others and the world in which they live.
• The opportunity to attain their potential in the spiritual, intellectual and physical aspects of their lives.
• An awareness that learning is a life-long experience.
As a Catholic School, our second, but equally important focus is the building of a school community that reflects the spirit of Nano Nagle. Her driving force was ‘to be of service’ and helping wherever a need was seen. In following in her footsteps, we endeavour to provide opportunities for our students to be aware of the needs of others and take practical steps in our effort to address these needs in our world. The building of a school community involves the children, staff and parents. It requires an attitude of openness and welcoming so that each person is able to contribute to the community.
We are very fortunate to have a parent body which actively supports our efforts and whose members are involved in the life of the school. We firmly believe that parents are the first educators of their children and we actively encourage the participation of parents in the life of the school.
Catholic Schools have an added dimension of being a part of the local Parish. We are very blessed to be a part of the St Paul’s Parish community and regularly find opportunities to celebrate the link between the School and Parish communities.
We look forward to welcoming you to our School Community.
God Bless & Happy Days!
